2019 Pocono Raceway Weekend Giveaway Rules

April 23, 2019

     1.  The Pennsylvania Lottery iLottery 2019 Pocono Race Weekend Giveaway (hereafter, the “Giveaway”).              

          (a)  Participation and Entry:

               (1)  In order to enter the iLottery Giveaway, entrants must:

                    (i)  Be successfully registered to participate in iLottery by visiting http://www.pailottery.com and completing the registration process. Becoming a successfully registered iLottery player is free.

                    (ii)  Be enrolled into PA iLottery Special Offers emails to participate in the Giveaway. To become a successfully registered iLottery player, visit http://www.pailottery.com and complete the registration process.

                    (iii)  Have made a successful iLottery deposit between April 1, 2019 and May 1, 2019.

               (2)  To enter the Giveaway, entrants must open the Giveaway email notification and follow the instructions.  Entries must be submitted via the link provided in the Giveaway email notification.  No other method of submission will be accepted, and entries submitted using any other method, including entries mailed or hand-delivered to the Pennsylvania Lottery, are not valid and will be disqualified.

               (3) The entry period for the Giveaway begins after 09:59:59 a.m. May 2, 2019 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. May 6, 2019.  All time references in this section are Eastern Prevailing Time.

               (4) Each entry must be complete and the information supplied by the entrant must be accurate.  Incomplete entry submissions will not be accepted.

               (5)  Only one claimant per entry allowed.

               (6)  Claimant must be 18 years of age or older.

               (7)  Players must have accepted the iLottery Terms and Conditions.

     2.  Drawings and Prizes:

          (a)  The prize entitlements described below are subject to all restrictions and limitations described in Section 3, or mentioned elsewhere in these rules.

          (b)  The Pennsylvania Lottery will conduct one Drawing which will be held between May 7, 2018 and May 13, 2019.  Giveaway participants may enter the giveaway described in section (2)(c), or may choose not to enter the giveaway described in section 2. 

          (c)  Pocono Race Weekend Giveaway:  The first through the third winners selected from the Giveaway entrants that selected the Pocono Race Weekend giveaway shall each be entitled to a Race Weekend prize.  The Race Weekend prize consists of:

               (1)  Two (2) 200 Level Reserved Grandstand tickets for the Pocono 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Weekend race to be held on Sunday, June 2, 2019, with each ticket holder receiving a Pre-Race Pit/Paddock Pass and a Guided Tour of the garage area; and

               (2)  Two (2) General Admission tickets for the Pocono 400 races to be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 and Saturday, June 1, 2019.

     3.  Restrictions:

          (a)  The odds of an entry being selected in a giveaway, described in section 2, depend upon the number of eligible entries received for that giveaway.

          (b)  To be eligible to participate in a particular giveaway, entrants must have complied with the requirements of these rules. 

          (c)  The Lottery is not responsible for late, lost or misdirected entries not entered into the Giveaway.  The Lottery is not responsible for entries that are not entered into the Giveaway because of incompatible internet browsers or other technical issues. If a Giveaway entry is selected as a winner and is disqualified or otherwise rejected during or following the Drawing, the Lottery will select another entry to replace the disqualified or otherwise rejected entry in accordance with these rules and Lottery procedure.

          (d)  A computer-generated randomizer will be used to select the winners. 

          (e)  Giveaway entrants may only win the prize for which they are first selected in the Drawing described in section 2.  Subsequent entries, from the same entrant, selected in the Drawing described in section 2 will be disqualified and a replacement entry will be selected.   

          (f)  If any discrepancy exists between these Giveaway rules and any material describing the Giveaway, the Giveaway rules shall govern.

          (g)  Employees of the Pennsylvania Lottery, MARC Advertising, Scientific Games International Inc., MDI Entertainment, LLC, and their subcontractors, or a spouse, child, brother, sister or parent residing as a member of the same household in the principal place of residence of any such person are not eligible to participate in the Giveaway.  Offer void where prohibited or restricted.

          (h)  The Pennsylvania Lottery is the sole administrator of the Giveaway. Any other promotional partner, is not a sponsor of the Giveaway, and is in no way responsible for the administration of the Giveaway or the verification of winners.  All inquiries regarding the Giveaway should be directed to the Pennsylvania Lottery.

          (i)  The Pennsylvania Lottery reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Giveaway, and change these rules if the Drawing cannot be conducted as planned due to errors in these rules or advertising, unauthorized intervention, tampering, fraud, technical errors, viruses, worms, bugs, or any other cause beyond the control of the Pennsylvania Lottery that, in the Pennsylvania Lottery’s sole judgment, could corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Giveaway drawings.

          (j)  All entries shall be subject to verification by the Pennsylvania Lottery.

          (k)  The Pennsylvania Lottery reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify an entrant found to be tampering with the operation of the Giveaway or the associated Drawing or to be acting in violation of these rules or applicable law.

          (l)  The Giveaway is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Applicable laws and regulations apply. 
          (m)  The Giveaway winners will be responsible for all taxes arising from or in connection with any prize won. 

          (n)  Prizes are not transferrable.

          (o)  Final determination of winners will be made by the Secretary, whose judgment will be final and binding.

          (p)  All tickets are subject to program availability, venue capacity and age restrictions. In the event the winner is not available on the date of the game or event that is part of a prize awarded in the Giveaway, there will be no extensions or substitutions of prizes and the winner will not receive any reimbursement for the unused prize.

          (q)  The event dates referenced in section 2 of these rules are subject to change at the discretion of the venue providing the prize.  In the event that there is a change in the date or location of a prize described in these rules, the winner will be contacted by the Lottery as early as possible to communicate the change and provide details for prize fulfillment.  If this should occur, the prize shall not be considered to be “not available” under subsection 3(r), below. 

          (r)  In the event a prize described in these rules is not available, the Lottery may either provide a substitute prize, determined by the Secretary to have an equivalent value to the prize won, or make a cash payment to the winner, in an amount determined by the Secretary to have an equivalent value to the prize won.

          (s)  Winners and/or guest(s) must abide by all venue policies. Any promotional partner reserves the right to revoke full or partial prize from any winner or winner’s guest who it and/or venue personnel deem may, in their sole discretion, be intoxicated, be a safety risk, have violated any venue policy or law, and/or may bring the promotional partner into disrepute. The Lottery and all other promotional partners are not responsible for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with the Giveaway.  By accepting a prize, each winner agrees to release and hold harmless the Lottery, any other promotional partner, their respective affiliates and their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all claims for damages or liability, including (without limitation) personal injury and/or death and property damage, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from: acceptance, possession, use, nonuse, or misuse of a prize; participation in or travel to/from any Giveaway related activity; or participation in this Giveaway.  Giveaway winners participate solely at their own risk and responsibility.  Without limiting the foregoing, all prizes are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.  Some jurisdictions may not allow the limitations or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages or exclusion of implied warranties.  Check your local laws.

          (t)  The winner is responsible for all costs, expenses and transportation, not specifically included in the prize won in the Giveaway, arising from or in connection with any prize won.

          (u)  Giveaway prizes are not redeemable for cash.

          (v)  Winners selected in the Drawing described in section 2 will be contacted via email by the Pennsylvania Lottery Winners Services.  A list of winners will be posted to the Pennsylvania iLottery’s website.

          (w)  Winners selected in the Drawing described in section 2 will be required to pick up tickets on the day of the event at the venue’s Will Call window.  Winners will be required to pick up the tickets in-person and present valid photo ID.  In the event that any prize associated with the giveaways described in section 2 are to be fulfilled in any other manner, the Pennsylvania Lottery will communicate the method of fulfillment to the prize winner via email by the Pennsylvania Lottery Winners Services.

          (x)  The identity or location of the seats associated with the ticket prizes described in Section 2 will be determined at the sole discretion of the venue providing the prize.
